V Всеукраїнський конкурс з англійської мови «Гринвіч-2014»

20 листопада 2014 року учні 11-10 класів Львівського ліцею менеджменту взяли участь у V Всеукраїнському конкурсі знавців англійської мови "Greenwich-2014". Щиро дякуємо організаторам конкурсу за цікаві завдання! Ось фотозвіт проведення конкурсу в нашому навчальному закладі.

On November 20, 2014 students of grades 11-10 from Lviv High School of Management took part in the V All-Ukrainian competition of experts of English language "Greenwich-2014". We thank the organizers of the competition for the interesting task! Here's a photo report of the competition in our school.

Сongratulations on completing the edX course!

Four of my students - Sofyia Stakhiv,  Alyona Ivanyk,   Vitaliy Yarema and Arsen Lebid successfully completed the two-month online edX course by Harvard University "Tangible Things: Discovering History Through Artworks, Artifacts, Scientific Specimens, and the Stuff Around You" (June 2 - August 4, 2014). 

Certificates were delivered on August 4^th, 2014.

Мої учні Софія Стахів, Альона Іваник, Віталій Ярема та Арсен Лебідь успішно завершили двохмісячний on-line курс "Матеріальні речі: Відкриття історія через твори, артефакти, наукові знахідки і речі навколо вас" Гарвадського університету (США) по програмі edX та отримали сертифікати. І це влітку, коли більшість учнів відпочивали в селі або в горах, смажилися на сонці, купалися в морі та відвідували цікаві місця! 

Сертифікати про завершення курсу були надіслані 4 серпня 2014 року. 

Молодці! Так тримати!

Відзначення випускників Львівського віртуального англомовного університету дистанційного навчання «Lviv Open University»

28 травня 2014 року відбулося відзначення випускників Львівського віртуального англомовного університету дистанційного навчання «Lviv Open University» в приміщення великої сесійної зали Львівської міської ради (площа Ринок, 1). У заході взяли участь учні та вчителі, які успішно закінчили навчання у Львівському віртуальному англомовному університеті дистанційного навчання «Lviv Open University» за програмою edX.

У Львові 13 учнів та вчителів закінчили різні курси за програмою edX цього навчального року, і я дуже тішуся, що у цьому списку є двоє моїх учнів – Софія Стахів та Назар Полеха, які закінчили 3-місячний освітянський on-line курс «Ідеї 20-го століття» Техаського університету м. Остін, США.

On May 28, 2014 alumni of the Lviv Virtual University of distance learning «Lviv Open University» were awarded in the session hall of Lviv City Council (Market Square, 1). The event was attended by students and teachers who had successfully completed online edX courses.

In Lviv 13 students and teachers completed various edX courses this school year and I am very happy that among them are 2 of my students - Sofia Stakhiv and Nazar Polekha who completed the 3-month educational on-line edX course "Ideas 20th century" (University of Texas, Austin, USA).

Some Demographics:

The number enrolled has changed day to day, as people sign up and drop out, but at its high point was almost 40,000. At the end of the course there were about 33,200. Of those, about 8,000 did some of the quizzes, and 1,003 received certificates.

About 3% of the students in this course have doctorates; another 25% have master's degrees; another 33% have bachelor's degrees; another 3% have associate's degrees; another 21% have high school diplomas; 3% haven't yet finished high school. (We don't have information about the other 8%.)

The top 15 countries represented, in order: the United States, India, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Spain, Australia, the Russian Federation, France, Greece, China, Mexico, the Philippines, and the Ukraine.

The Results of The Fourth All-Ukrainian Game on the English Language “Puzzle-2014” –Результати IV Всеукраїнської гри з англійської мови „Пазл-2014”

19 of my students of grades 10 and 11 took part in the IV All-Ukrainian Game on the English Language “Puzzle-2014” held on the 18th of February, 2014.

Six of them became winners:

Nazar Petriv (grade 11) – 2-nd place of the All-Ukrainian Level

Oksana Trachuk (grade 11) – 3-th place of the All-Ukrainian Level

Aresen Lebid (grade 10) – 1-st place the the Regional Level

Sofiya Stakhiv (grade 10) – 1-st place the the Regional Level

Vitaliy Yarema (grade 10) – 1-st place the the Regional Level

Nazar Nolekha (grade 10) – 2-nd place the the Regional Level

                                        The other pupils got the diplomas of the participants.

19 моїх учнів 10 та 11 класів взяли участь в IV Всеукраїнській грі з англійської мови „Пазл-2014”, яка відбулася 18 лютого 2014 року.

Шість учнів стали переможцями:

Петрів Назар (11 клас) – 2-е місце на Всеукраїнському рівні   

Трачук Оксана (grade 11) – 3-є місце на Всеукраїнському рівні

Лебідь Арсен (grade 10) – 1-е місце на регіональному рівні  

Стахів Софія (grade 10) –1-е місце на регіональному рівні

Ярема Віталій (grade 10) – 1-е місце на регіональному рівні

Полеха Назар (grade 10) –1-е місце на регіональному рівні 

Інші учасники отримали сертифікати участі.

On the 18^th of February 2014 19 of my students of grades 10 and 11 took part in the IV All-Ukrainian Game on the English Language “Puzzle – 2014”.

Do you want to know the overall statistics for the course?  Here are some relevant numbers:

Total enrollment: 32,638
Number of students completing at least 1% of the coursework: 5,035
Number of student completing at least 10% of the coursework: 1,668  
Number of students attempting at least one of the 3 graded essays: 563
Number of students receiving the certificate:  1,003

Over 60% of those completing at least 10% of the coursework stuck with the course and performed well enough to earn the certificate.  

That is a true accomplishment.
