28 травня 2014 року відбулося відзначення випускників Львівського віртуального англомовного університету
дистанційного навчання «Lviv Open University» в приміщення великої сесійної
зали Львівської міської ради (площа Ринок, 1). У заході взяли участь учні та
вчителі, які успішно закінчили навчання у Львівському віртуальному англомовному університеті
дистанційного навчання «Lviv Open University» за програмою edX.
У Львові 13 учнів та вчителів
закінчили різні курси за програмою edX цього навчального року, і я дуже тішуся, що у цьому списку
є двоє моїх учнів – Софія Стахів та Назар Полеха, які закінчили 3-місячний
освітянський on-line курс «Ідеї 20-го
століття» Техаського університету м. Остін, США.

of distance learning «Lviv Open University» were awarded in the session
hall of Lviv City Council (Market Square, 1). The event was attended by students and teachers who had successfully completed online edX courses.
In Lviv 13 students and teachers completed various edX courses this school year and I am very happy that among them are 2 of my students - Sofia Stakhiv and Nazar Polekha who completed the 3-month educational on-line edX course "Ideas 20th century" (University of Texas, Austin, USA).

Some Demographics:
The number enrolled has
changed day to day, as people sign up and drop out, but at its high point was almost
40,000. At the end of the course there were about 33,200. Of those, about 8,000
did some of the quizzes, and 1,003 received certificates.
About 3% of the students in
this course have doctorates; another 25% have master's degrees; another 33%
have bachelor's degrees; another 3% have associate's degrees; another 21% have
high school diplomas; 3% haven't yet finished high school. (We don't have
information about the other 8%.)

the United Kingdom, Brazil, Canada,
Germany, Spain, Australia,
the Russian Federation, France, Greece,
China, Mexico, the Philippines,
and the Ukraine.
